Who We Are
Burma Human Rights Network (BHRN) was founded in 2012 to work for human rights, minority rights, and religious freedom in Myanmar. We believe that human rights are essential to the proper functioning of a democratic society.
BHRN has been legally registered in the United Kingdom since 2015. Due to the sensitive and high-risk nature of documenting violations against ethnic and religious minorities, our registration outside Myanmar helps protect the safety and independence of our work.
Today, BHRN works with communities, researchers, advocates, journalists, international institutions, and human rights organisations to document abuses, challenge discrimination, and promote justice and accountability.
